Bible Questions...

Email us your curly questions and difficult scriptures and we'd love to discuss them with you!

Because it does! And that's okay. We just don't all do a great job of understanding why it contradicts itself or how those contradictions can actually add deeper and more inspiring meaning to what the original authors were trying to say. Often rooted in our misunderstanding of appropriate historical or cultural context, the problems with interpreting ancient literary devices is not the least of our concerns when trying to read scripture effectively. I encourage you to click the "BibleProject" picture or find them on YouTube. Specifically: watching the "How to Read the Bible" series by the BibleProject is a great place to start.

He wasn't! But it's a common misconception because they were certainly brutal times and the ancient biblical authors had a very different concept or perception of who God was, what His will was for them and how to go about it. This is a much larger conversation than a quick single line answer, but please keep asking questions and joining meaningful conversations about scripture.

Ravi Zacharias (notable Christian Apologist, Theologian and Philosopher) explains that humanity has sought answers to FOUR key questions since the dawn of time. That of ORIGINS, MEANING, MORALITY and DESTINY. Our answers to these question, or in fact our pursuit of answers, will ultimately shape the way in which we view the world and our place in it. I want to encourage you to keep wrestling with those questions and find a great community to do it with. I could appeal to your sense of reason or weave a convincing philosophical abstract, but the greatest thing about the question of God's existence is the pursuit of what His existence means for our lives.
